Whether Brad Pitt`s thighs or Pierce Brosnan`s looks they maddeningly appeal to young gals, the damsels, the college goers who looks at their faces in the mirror just after getting out of bed in the morning, imagine themselves as charming actresses swaying their hips efficiently at a certain Cannes film festival. and rush off to college. There in the campus they hang around chatting away over some Hollywood actor whose eyes are very very sexy and an actress possessing a creamy and buttery figure. The discussion ends, they attend classes and returns home with their minds full of endless dreams of achieving instant weight loss, acquiring and preserving those coveted figures by hook or by crook. Some try various methods, fail and give up; others resort to certain advanced, scientifically-enhanced methods to fulfill their dreams. Operation to remove obesity! But, is it really possible? Am I in my current frame of mind or have seen or heard these things being done in some illusory world? I am here, in this utterly body-conscious world, totally perplexed and confused for the generation X which is going crazy over bodies and figures. Recently, in my college, a young damsel was not seen for months. Her disappearance lasted for a considerably long time which made the college authorities very anxious. Being contacted, it was known that she had died while undergoing a cosmetic surgery called liposuction to get rid of obesity. Liposuction surgery principally aims at removing fat from the body through surgical appliances. But this method is not devoid of side effects. It can facilitate various repercussions including death. The same thing happened with my class-mate. Normal saline containing lidocaine and epinephrine was inserted in certain parts of her body for pain relief in the process she suffered continuous swelling, bruising and certain other discomforts in the operated areas. Her suffering increased with the passage of time and she died due to the congestion of body fluid. Her death did the rounds of the college, spreading a mournful and gloomy atmosphere. It severely hit her parents, scared off the college girls who uninhibitedly go to the extent of killing themselves for that perfect figure. My heart grew tense &worried as the disastrous effects of such surgeries gradually unfolded before me and I realized the grim future of this world if things proceed in the same way, unabated. Whenever I observe people attempting such adverse ways for the ephemeral glow and shine, my heart fills up with pity for their foolishness and absurdity. How can they operate upon their bodies in such an effortless and easy manner, work against the natural frame which is attached to us since our childhood. What is against God, against Nature is purely satanic. It is a rebellion against God that will never go unpunished.Girls, wake up from your slumber. Well, Frankenstein was punished thoroughly for his devilish ways, for challenging the creator by making an unnatural monster and you all are also pushing yourselves up towards the same fate Be cautious, you beauties! Things come at a cost, at a price. If the cost is higher than the gain then where is the benefit? Surgeries like liposuction are not that beneficial..So,the end of playing games with ones own body will be horrific. Ends justify the means. If you employ abnormal means and nothing but a disastrous end will wait for you. Now,what`s up in your minds? To attain a celebratory look by tearing your own flesh or to satisfy yourself with Gods precious gift, your own body. Hell or Heaven? Think it over, ask your conscience and act accordingly. Wake up to the call of your reasoning mind. Beware of such risky experiments for weight loss. |
