How Many Government Agencies Are Involved with Employee Credit Card Fraud?

Author: Lance Winslow

Have you ever wondered how deep the government credit card fraud issue goes with regards to government employees accusing the credit cards? Recently I set out to find how deep of a problem this was in our Federal Government. What I found was very alarming indeed.

In fact it wasn't just the Federal Government. The government credit card abuse and fraud is much deeper than you would imagine and it is in nearly every Federal Agency. There have been abuses in local county sheriff's departments, cities and counties.

There have been a time of investigations at state level government in nearly all 50 states. You ask how many government agencies are involved with employee credit card fraud? The simple answer is; All of Them.

What a scary thought indeed that government workers think that is their money; It Belongs to the Taxpayer. Why don't other government coworkers turn in the fraudsters? So, in fact they are not policing their co-workers and know this goes on.

It is amazing the amount of government fraud and use of government credit cards. There have been many stories on this in the media and many taxpayer watchdog groups such as; Consumer Affairs, Taxpayer.net, The American Taxpayers Association and to the list goes on and on. The Government Accounting Office has had over 10 reports on this for Congress.

It appears that the average citizen is Naive to help that this problem really is and it appears that they do not understand what is going on behind their backs and they too easily trust that which is ripping them off. The United States Government is owned by the people we own the government and that is our money and it is not to be used for personal use.

Those government credit cards are only for official business. Unfortunately very few people have been put in jail from the government for stealing and something needs to be done. Please consider this in 2006.
