Honeymooning on the Florida Keys

Author: Richard Rspad

The Florida Keys and honeymoon are two subjects that just go together. Honeymooning on the Florida Keys is very popular choice for newlyweds.

The Florida Keys are an archipelago of small islands that are a favorite with tourists and vacationers. They are located at the southeastern tip of Florida about 15 miles from the city of Miami. The city of Key West is the largest and most heavily populated city in the Keys with more than 32 percent of the islands' population residing here. A trip to this area can be both relaxing and refreshing with the Keys being a great place to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere.

The Florida Keys are home to a colorful and unique group of people who enjoy tourists but don't let commercialism invade too much. The Keys are also home to many species of plants and animal species not found in the rest of the United States. The Key Lime, which is the most famous of these plants, is actually a native of Mexico brought to the Florida Keys from the Yucatan Peninsula. The many smaller islands in the Keys are perfect spots to see the interesting wildlife and underwater life. Many people visit these areas by boat for scuba diving and other activities.

If you are honeymooning on the Florida Keys, there are many different companies and resorts willing to help you out. One such resort is the Little Palm Island Resort and Spa. Located on its own private island of Little Torch Key, this resort offers honeymooners the ultimate in luxury and romance. Staying in one of the 30 thatched roof bungalows, complete with amenities and air conditioning, can be a blissful, secluded experience. The Romance Package, a five night stay including such extras as spa services, makes for a wonderful honeymoon.

If you want even more seclusion, Little Palm Island even offers a package entitled, Own the Island. You can actually rent out all of the rooms and bungalows, and have the entire resort to yourself if you wish! Talk about a blissful, romantic and private honeymoon!

The Florida Keys are a perfect romantic hotspot for your honeymoon or wedding. Booking a stay here is certain to be a memorable trip for any newlywed couple. Whether you want to stay on your own private island, or in the cities of Key West or Key Largo, you will be able to find the accommodations and style to suit your honeymoon needs.
